Support for downloading component library dependenciesThe latest unstable version (0.1.8) of the
Tapestry Palette now supports Component library dependencies. The library
supplier can declare a list of dependent library jar files for a component
library. When the component library is dragged from the palette onto the
application specification editor the component library and it's dependencies are
all downloaded to the WEB-INF/lib folder and added to the project build
path.
The latest version can be downloaded from within Eclipse from the update site at: http://tapestrypalette.mjhenderson.com/unstable The Groovestry library can be used to demonstrate
this new feature of the palette.
To try this feature out enter this URL: http://www.mjhenderson.com/tapestry/components/supplier-mjhenderson.com.xml into the Tapestry Palette > Remote Libraries preferences page in Eclipse. This will add a folder to the Repositories item in the palette tree-view for my Tapestry libraries. Drag the Groovestry library from the palette onto the application specification to observe the process. Check the project dependencies after the process is complete to confirm that the Groovestry library is included along with the Groovy and ASM libraries. This is sufficient to begin coding component methods in Groovy . Posted: Sat - March 26, 2005 at 12:23 PM : : : : : : : |
